Section 3: Editing, Illustrating, and Advertising
Now that the first part is done, and the contract is in place, the author needs to work to meet the deadlines set and collaborate with the editor to ensure that the book meets with the publisher's expectations. This process involves a lot of people including the editor, illustrators, advertising team, and (sometimes) photographers. All this just to get one book done and ready to be published for people to buy and enjoy. The next sections will cover broadly the process leading to publication which for some authors can take a full year!
