Section 1: Beginning

A beginning manuscript for 'Numbers to 50' which is part of the series Essentials for Maths.

The beginning of the process starts with researching the audience and maths concepts that they want to do, and then how to effectively show the lessons through a good page design and lesson layout. This process culminates in the first draft and obtaining a contract from an agent and a publishing house.

Rose writes her maths books for different reasons but the audience she has written for most often has been students who struggle with attaining standard marks in maths class. The start of the process requires a lot of research and trial and error as can be seen by Rose testing worksheets and prepping proposals for new book series.
