Mary Swainson: Student Counselling Pioneer

Beatrice Mary Swainson was a pioneer in student counselling. Born on 23 March 1908 in Somerset, she lived one hundred years to the day. During the course of her long life, she achieved much yet so far has not featured in any of the written histories of the University of Leicester. So that they may have life volunteer Virginia Wright tells her story.
