It's a bit difficult. I mean, when you're a young man, everything's new, exciting. You know, it's got to be. I mean, you wouldn't be natural if you weren't, so another step, exciting. Oh, I went to Budbrooke Barracks in Warwickshire, so that's the headquarters of the Royal Warwickshire Regiment. So that's where all, everyone went, from the Lincolns, Royal Leicesters, [?] Derbys, the Leicesters, and the Warwickshires, what was called the Midland Brigade, and we was all stationed, everyone went there for training, six weeks basic training that's where you went. Then of course from there I, we got posted abroad and to Hong Kong in the New Territories, of course there was border patrol there to keep the people trying to cross the border from China into the Hong Kong and the New Territories. I can always remember the rifles were fixed bayonets and we had one bullet which we was told not to use under any circumstances because it might cause an international incident (laughs). I don't know about the bayonet, we could use that.
