This article reports that the Imani community centre faces threats of closure, stemming from allegations that those responsible for administering the centre had been misusing public funds.
The chair of the centre's management committee, Mr Carlton Howson, responded here claiming that the accusing members of the Leicester Council were attempting to "discredit Imani Ujima members in a bid to regain control of the African Caribbean Centre".
