All the big shows were at the Opera House. That was really the Opera House in the sense that he had Gilbert & Sullivan, D’oyly Carte, it was a good class place that was. I’ve seen some Edgar Wallace plays there, I’ve seen Gordon Harker play there. Have I mentioned before Harry Welchman in ‘The Lady of the Rose,‘ The Merry Widow, all first class companies. Yes, you was assured of good entertainment at the Leicester Opera House. The Opera House orchestra was very good indeed, it always included a harp, a thing you very rarely see nowadays, but the harpist in the, in the orchestra. Also, the floor could be raised to make a circus of it and I don’t think many people knew that.
