She then goes onto talk about a particular example of the Ancient Egyptians and how the session is ran. There is also a discussion on the advantages and disadvantages of technology within these sessions.

An article on children within museums and how they want to develop children's clubs for over the holidays and for them to be just as important as the Museum's school service. Seems to get people visiting because they were introduced through school or even those who may no have come. They believe that they can provice a better edcuation and experience for children because they are not 'forced to listen whether they like it or not' like in school.

A book on Derbyshire museum service showing materials used within school lessons. Foreword by George Tomlinson MP (Minister for Education). Talks about the aims of the service and how these services are important where it is difficult to take the children to museums. The Derbyshire education committee set up the School museum service in 1936 with a grant from the Carnegie UK Trust. Talks about how the function of a museum differs from that of a school. Discusses the benefits of the loans service. There is a history of the service and some details of how Derby museum cooperates with companies such as the BBC and the Museums Association. Talks about the items they have available for loan, how they catalogue them, and the people who borrow material and how they get it to them.
