Digital Preservation at the University of Leicester
The University's Archives and Special Collections have being making progress with Digital Preservation since 2017, but our efforts were given momentum in 2023 when a generous legacy gift from Janet Neaverson funded a two-year Digital Preservation project.
The project aims to bring together important digital records generated by the University relating to the discovery and identification of King Richard III in 2012 and transfer them to the Archives for preservation.
This exhibition will look at how the University has approached Digital Preservation, with specific focus on the digital records we have collected as part of the Richard III Digital Preservation Project.
